Migrant Workers

Migrant workers make up an increasing part of the public sector workforce. Without them many of our public services simply could not function.

Unscrupulous employers can use migrant workers' ignorance about their rights, language barriers and reticence to complain to exploit them.

UNISON is responding to this challenge by organising migrant workers. We believe that the way to prevent exploitation and undercutting is to get migrants organised in the union.
