Life Long Learning and Member Development

Welcome to Learning and Organising in the North West. These pages are designed to help you find out what’s on offer for members, potential members and active members in UNISON.

QUICK-CLICK Learning

UNISON in the North West wants to develop some short learning packages for members and potential members. These would be short web based interactive programmes - a maximum of 3 modules each lasting 15 mins. Features would include - video, interactive questions and quizzes, case studies, downloadable handouts and completion certificates

We would like to hear your suggestions for subject matter - what issues would you like to learn about - what skills would you like to acquire - in what topics would you like to improve your understanding?

Get in touch - please make your suggestions for learning topics at www.youtube.com/unisonnwcourses

The Value of Learning

We would like to draw your attention to this extremely powerful and stirring speech made by the best selling author Philip Pullman in defence of our public library service.   It really shows the importance and power of learning and we hope it will inspire you to help protect, not just our libraries, but all our public services.
