Stockport Council Gives Employees Extra Day Off |

UNISON welcomes the news that Stockport Council is to give its employees a day off in recognition for the achievement that the council has achieved a four star rating and improving strongly from the audit commission, this is the highest possible rating the commission can award. Mark Rayner Branch Chairperson said "We welcome the recognition the council is giving to employees in the borough, our members day in day out give a top class service to residents and deserve this award and the day off in recognition" The award puts Stockport as one of the top performing councils in the country and the employees have contributed immensely to that accolade.
