Working with the Branch Equality Officer EQUALITY REPS will

advocate good equality practices
support UNISON’s Equality Scheme
raise awareness within the workplace of the work the union and the branch does around equality
be certified as competent to accompany members at a disciplinary and grievance hearing in order to comply with Employment Relations Act 1999 - you may not directly representing members in this role but you may help and assist the work of a steward
support branch negotiators by identifying and analysing information about the employer’s equality performance
organise around equality
learn more about sector specific equalities law

The next scheduled course is every Friday from the

12th September 2011 for 5 weeks in Liverpool

2012 Dates - are 1 day a week for 5 weeks starting

our minimum numbers we will advertise separate dates
